I am Nothing [poem]
i am nothing
i am no one —
just a walk-on part
in other people’s dreams
i am flotsam
i am jetsam —
just a late intruder
in a plethora of schemes
i never made
i am nothing
i am no one —
just a fleeting leitmotif
on leafless winds
i am nothing
i am no one —
just a vague idea
which barely came to pass
of subatomic somethingness
i can’t recall
i am nothing
i am no one —
just a quirky vector
on the freckled face of time
i am nothing
i am no one —
just an afterthought
and partnerless-in-crime
[i’ve done my time]
i am nothing
i am no one —
just a wrinkled gleam
and happy to be so
for i am light-dance
and i am dream and sing
and i am just
a tiny speck
within the orb
of everything
the most of which
(like iceberg boson beams)
cannot be seen
.
