More than Less [poem]

more_than_less

the morer that I know
the more I realise
I do not know
though
better still to say
the morer that I know
the more I see just
how much more is
through the door
for bigsmall me
to grow

the fuller that I love
the more I feel
I’ve never truly loved
yet
better if I say
the fuller that I love
the ampler that I feel
how muchly now must I
align myself
with spirit
from above

the longer that I live
the more I see
how short life is
but
better that I say
the longer that I live
the crazily I see
how far I’ve come
alongingly
this bendy
wending way

the whyer that I ask
the more the questions
pile up on my plate
however
better is to say
the whyer that I ask
the more I learn
how probingful it be
to strip away
the artifice
of mask

the extrer that I own
the more I think
there’s nothing left to need
still
better when I say
the extrer that I own
reveals to me
that wealth is just a breeze
on which our
opportunities
are blown

the deeper that I dive
the more my blood
is addled by the bends
even so
better now to say
the deeper that I dive
the more I find
my darkness seethrough sight
is what preserves
and keeps my flame
alive
