“The Writing on the Wall” (A New Song for a New Year)

Posted on Updated on

So here we are again
on the threshold of ‘once more’;
another year lies loomly through the door.
Turn the handle if you dare —
if you can handle what I’ll share.
Not for the fainterhearted is this war.

It’s not a war with guns,
or bombs, or uniforms.
In fact, this war defies all previous norms.
It’s centred on your mind —
to make you stupid, blind.
I hear it now in distant thunderstorms.

You may not want to hear this:
but you’ll have to take a stand,
to challenge those who think they run this earth.
For they’ve wholly sold their souls;
world dominion is their goal,
To resist you’ll need no less than a rebirth.

[Refrain]
Wake up and see the writing on the wall;
the climax of the dark is drawing near.
But that very culmination spells its fall;

soon after, herald angels will appear!

When I say, “take a stand”,
I don’t mean take up arms
or anything which injures, hurts, or harms.
Such a stand comes from within,
and from wisdom, discipline;
plus we must not partake in false alarms.

The war of which I speak
is one which can’t be seen
on battlefields or ‘theatres’ (words obscene).
Through psyops, they enroll
all forms of mind-control —
divine and natural law they contravene.

You may reject, through fear,
what I’m propounding here:
that governments wage war on those they rule.
Yet you don’t research firsthand
and your head’s stuck in the sand.
Through propaganda you’ve become a tool.

[Refrain]
Wake up and see the writing on the wall;
the climax of the dark is drawing near.
But that very culmination spells its fall;

soon after, herald angels will appear!

If you think your duty’s done
by living for the vote
(believing all you read, you live by rote),
then scoffing at those minds
who’ve not pulled down their blinds,
to darkness you won’t be the antidote.

Our foremost calling is
to discover why we’re here,
and not to be a programmed sloganeer.
We’re here to think and grow —
and to eschew all that’s faux.
and to be a love-dust soldier (mutineer).

This life is all a test —
a school wherein we ride,
if we can for discernment now decide.
Then we must carefully choose
upon which hills our lives to lose,
not squander them in ignorance or pride.

[Refrain]
Wake up and see the writing on the wall;
the climax of the dark is drawing near.
But that very culmination spells its fall;

soon after, herald angels will appear!

So wake up to these truths
and regain what in one’s youth
is passion for all justice to prevail.
Don’t be a heartless clone
whose mind has never grown.
It’s time to sabotage hate’s paper trail.

When someone seeks what’s real,
then scales fall from their eyes.
It’s like a law, and soon they’ll find they’re wise.
A free soul then you’ll be —
devout with gallantry.
Expose the war-stuffed shirts and suits and ties.

But now the battle seethes
around us like a dream;
distorting and deceiving with its schemes.
Though archons have their way
and seem to lead the fray,
one day the faithful ones will be redeemed.

[Refrain]
Wake up and see the writing on the wall;
the climax of the dark is drawing near.
But that very culmination spells its fall;

soon after, herald angels will appear!
