Everything is Upside-Down [new song lyrics]

FROM birth to death we’re taught things wrong
as if they all were right.
So now I’ve made this little song
to shed some needed light.
For everything that’s done to you
is done to make you fit
into a world that’s fake, untrue,
to which you must submit.

Your parents (bless their cotton socks),
did not know who you are.
Right from the start,  right off the blocks —
they tried to dim your star.
Instead of building up your own
potentiality,
before you knew it, they had grown
a little ‘mini-me’!

[Refrain]
So many now are out to bring you down —
to make you just like them, a foolish clown
who follows them in herd conformity.
They cannot stand it when a person’s free.

In school, your teachers spread the lie
that you were being fed
and educated with good things
and by great leaders led.
But underneath those masks they wore
and what they think’s the norm,
their real role is to ensure
you to their world conform.

Then by the time you’ve reached the age
to play a useful role,
they’ve put you on a pre-writ page —
“For Sale” writ on your soul.
You end up as a thwarted cog
in what’s not your machine —
a leashed, frustrated underdog
who rues what could have been.

Everyone is out to bring you down —
to make you just like them, a foolish clown
who follows them in herd conformity.
They cannot stand it when a person’s free.

They’ve got you by the short and curlies
taxed up to the hilt,
If you don’t pay, then they will freeze
your assets — all you’ve built.
They use that dough to fund their wars
and all-expenses-paid;
and keep you all enslaved (their cause),
and cowed, no mind, afraid.

They know that if you’re filled with fear
you’ll fall more easily —
and buy their line: “We’ll make you safe”
(that’s false security).
The terror that you see take place
has mostly been endorsed
by governments who leave no trace
so you’ll by them be forced.

So many now are out to bring you down —
to make you just like them, a foolish clown
who follows them in herd conformity.
They cannot stand it when a person’s free.

Now all you want is to be free
without their mind-control —
to wander round in wonderment
in nature is your goal.
Yet even though you’d never hurt
another in your field,
their viciousness they will assert
to make you to them yield.

They’ve managed now to make it seem
as if it’s those who care
about their health, who love and dream,
by others should be scared.
One more inversion on the list;
how Satan must be proud
to stand things on their head and twist
the truth (now disallowed).

[Refrain]
So many now are out to bring you down —
to make you just like them, a foolish clown
who follows them in herd conformity.
They cannot stand it when a person’s free.

Everything is upside-down;
a topsy-turvy world.
Satan’s turned it all around
as evil now unfurls.
The lie is posing as the truth
and darkness as the light.
while bitter makes itself seem sweet.
It’s time for Knights to fight.

But lest you should misunderstand
what I mean here by “fight”,
the weapons we use in our stand
are not to kill or spite.
The warfare in which we’re immersed
is not fought in 3-D.
The devil’s hold will be reversed
when we set spirit’s free.

[Refrain]

The reversal of which I just wrote
began some while ago —
two thousand years since Christ has smote
as He did overthrow
the hold that Satan has on souls
if Christ they will receive,
and in the truths writ down on scrolls
they wholly will believe.

So now this song comes near its end
I hope you’ve loved the ride.
I hope, also, you realise
it’s all been prophesied
that things will go from bad to worse
upon this fallen sphere —
this limping birthing universe.
One day all will come clear.

[Refrain]

So now when people try to bring you down,
to make you just like them, a foolish clown,
don’t follow them in herd conformity.
Instead, ask Christ to truly set you free.
