Jackdaw

It isn’t often one can get close up to a Jackdaw (Swedish: Kaja) in the wild. But this fledgling, who can barely fly, allowed me to approach him/her and posed politely for a photoshoot! Beautiful bird (smart too). Look at the gorgeous eye colour! ❤ Click it into full size on your screen and see the feathery detail!
Locust

I just found this LOCUST ovipositing (laying eggs after drilling a hole) in the earth outside my front door. (There will be about 50 of them!). So I got down in the dirt and did a photoshoot. Such beautiful creatures! (Click on the photo to see the detail if it’s small)
Last Night

Last night I waited on my windowsill for the clouds to clear so I could photograph the Full Moon rising over the sea. The clouds didn’t clear for the moon but I got a ten-second unexpected treat when the setting sun was revealed and a rainbow too. (No filters or photoshopping). How I love the unexpected! It’s (almost) the only time life makes sense…
Locust

I couldn’t resist photographing this very photogenic locust. I know they get a bad press for their eating habits but they are sooo beautiful!
🙂 You can’t see it in the photo but the inside of its thighs are bright red
