Living-Room Video #32: “Shades of Green”

LIVING-ROOM VIDEO #32: “Shades of Green”. Here’s a video of a song I wrote yesterday. At the start of the video I’ll tell you a bit about it. [HINT: Big theme — everything has consequences. In this song, big consequences]. Soon, I will upload the article which accompanies this song, entitled “Primal Stream: The Ancient Roots of Gender-Bending”. Here are the full lyrics:

Spread before him was a garden;
colour green floods through his eyes.
Nothing yet that needed pardon;
rather, he’s strangely naïve, not wise.

Stretched before her: All creation;
in her hands she held the key.
Servitude or liberation
latent, her actions touch you and me.

But she’s easily persuaded
when left out there on her own.
She can soon be serenaded,
invaded, and by dark intrusions thrown.

[Refrain]
You may say it’s just a story —
nothing more than anecdote.
But it’s not; it’s allegory,
to see the truth that wisdom wrote.

When she saw the shiny sparkle
of forbidden wisdom’s lure,
she sowed the seeds of matriarchal
[darkful] fantasies and deeds impure.

All he had to do was show her —
point her in a better way.
But his leadership had faltered
and it altered the future down to this day.

Mannish weakness brings the house down
when it’s built of mud and straw.
Soon it spreads throughout the whole town,
fool-clown, for truthness you can’t ignore.

[Refrain]
You may say it’s just a story —
nothing more than anecdote.
But it’s not; it’s allegory,
to see the truth that wisdom wrote.

Men and women blend together;
each with complementary gifts.
Alone, she’s floundering forever,
severed from Source, while he lonely drifts.

Everything has consequences,
as this allegory shows.
In this case, it was expensive
comprehensively making this world decompose.

So let’s learn, becoming humble;
from the ones who’ve gone before.
In that place where they first stumbled,
and bungled, are angels with flame-swirling swords.

[Refrain]
You may say it’s just a story —
nothing more than anecdote.
But it’s not; it’s allegory,
to see the truth that wisdom wrote.

The only way back to that garden —
where the green of envy won,
and where green naiveness bargained,
darkened — is follow the Light who has come.
