Letter to a Selfie [new song lyrics]

NEW SONG LYRICS: “Letter to a Selfie”. If I scroll through the stories on Fakebook, I see few actual “stories” but a mass of female selfie poses. Show me your soul instead of your tits or your ass or your pout or some other coquettish pose. Women “objectify” themselves on social media far more than men objectify them. A real man doesn’t need a superficial chick and infinitely prefers her ocean to her skin. The lyrics of the song are below:
The softness of her skin
isn’t nearly as important
as the gentleness of soul
that should be fostered deep within.
The enchantment of her smile
doesn’t really have significance
when compared to inner beauty,
inner light — that’s what beguile.
The svelteness of her shape
will forever be eclipsed
by the sharpness of her mind
from which there should be no escape
The pouting of her lips
does not impress at all;
it’s the fullness of one’s heart
which will make relationships
[Refrain]
You hoped you would ensnare me with your face;
but I’m not as shallow as you may perceive.
To sell yourself like meat in a marketplace
will not attract a man to whom to cleave.
[Bridge]
For a woman’s so much more than what one sees.
and what’s hidden in her photo is her soul.
She is more than flesh, and bones and arteries
She must be opened like a secret, sacred scroll.
The flashing of her eyes
like a stroboscopic show
is not nearly such a pull
as a Lady who is wise
The protrusion of her chest
in her armoured brassiere
gives no succour to my soul.
By such things I’m unimpressed.
The flowing of her dress
cannot seduce as much
as the pouring of her words
upon my heart, I must confess.
The expression on her face
doesn’t show to me her soul
and will never me impress
till I see her depth of grace.
[Refrain]
You hoped you would ensnare me with your face.
But I’m not as shallow as you may perceive.
To sell yourself like meat in a marketplace
will not attract a man to whom to cleave.
[Bridge]
It is inner beauty she’ll exemplify
if she won’t rely on merely outward traits.
Insecurity won’t attract a worthwhile guy.
For a graceful, centred woman he awaits.
That coquettish little pose
in the photos that she shows
have been chosen carefully —
they’re like whitewashed cameos.
All the makeup that she wears
on her plastic masked façade
shows the shame she feels of self
and the falsehood that she shares.
As my story nears its end
you will no doubt be appalled
and offended by these words
and the message that I send.
But you should be pleased to know
there are men who do not fall
for the fleshpots of this world
or female braggadocio.
[Refrain]
You hoped you would ensnare me with your face.
But I’m not as shallow as you may perceive.
To sell yourself like meat in a marketplace
will not attract a man to whom to cleave.
[Outro]
For all beauty that’s skin-deep is just a bore;
true feminine has oceanic power.
A real man knows her soul is so much more
than a selfie’s lies. Her soul is like a flower.
