The Suckless Tit of Nothingtown [poem]

Those wizened hands now reaching out
feel all around the empty air and in the
double-sanded glassy so-called “timer”
perched nearby on barkless branches
hooting like an owl (while in the glade
ten thousand grains of hopelessness
fall back & forth from one dumb bulb Read the rest of this entry »
Gender Studies [poem]

Whatever happened to the way things used to be
when boys were unafraid to feel their manhood
bristlingly and girls could wear their curls without
the cries of others wailing “traitor to the cause”
with voices shrill & mocking sisterlove insistently? Read the rest of this entry »
Thank God for Poetry!

⚡️THANK GOD FOR POETRY!⚡️ After a long life of experience and observation, I have to confess that I don’t really fit into this strangely-fallen world, in which the vast majority wears a mask, cares not about self-awareness, is only motivated by personal gain (no matter how much they may dress it up otherwise with virtue-signalling), has no real fidelity, has no sense of honour, is riddled with cultural baggage, is unable to think for himself or herself, practises wholesale wilful ignorance, is enslaved to fads and fashions, has no discernment or critical thinking processes, is moulded by conformity and Read the rest of this entry »
I’d Love to Live in a REAL World [prose-poem]

I’d love to live in a real land and world
WHERE people say just what they mean
and mean just what they say.
WHERE promises are staunchly kept
and day could not be meant as night
nor ever night mean day, for everywhere
I see such things inverted in this way:
darkness masquerades as “light”;
evil’s in disguise as “good”; bitterness
pretends it’s “sweet”; and even lies
are counterfeited as “the truth” so much
that few today know wrong from right. Read the rest of this entry »
The Trumpet and the Harp

We think we’re SO important
in this tiny world of helter-skelter
pitter-patter, bloody-spatter,
everything is fleeting fashion
“nothing matters except me” mentality.
Does all the scoria we do and act out
really matter in a universe of wonder
(tearing trash asunder) such as this?
Our petty lives must bore to death
so much that we in all our me-ful
emptiness create a yawning chasm
resting on a crutch (earth ash cremate)? Read the rest of this entry »
Where Are All the Truly Open People? [prose-poem]

The ones who do not mind the other seeing inside their hearts;
the ones whose heartfelt overtures will never be false-starts;
the ones who are always open books rather than closed reactions;
the ones who are full of inner joy with no dissatisfaction;
the ones who aren’t offended or triggered when others speak truth or get real;
the ones who know with ease and grace with their hearts to wholly feel; Read the rest of this entry »
Profundity: The Revolutionary Act [new poem]

In a world in which the living stream of love
(true love) is only one inch deep (or less),
profundity’s a revolutionary act, I must confess.
(By “love”, I do not mean what “baby” does in
songs or only moonlit nights make those who
with their hormones say “I love you!” when
there’s really something else within their hidden
souls for which they secretively grieve and long). Read the rest of this entry »
BETWEEN TWO SWORDS AT SEA (or How to Be Reconciled on this Desecrated Earth) [new poem]

Most worldlings here would rather love a tawdry shiny thing
which glintly smiles at them but offers only dreams and lies
than a jaded weary truthful soul who cuts through dirt
& always asks the vital though neglected question: “Why?” Read the rest of this entry »
Sweet Surrender [new poem]

Of all the things I’ve done in life
or ever thus will do,
there’s only one which carries
everlasting consequence;
and that’s what I will share this evening
here and now with you. Read the rest of this entry »
Henceforth… [new poem]

Henceforth…
I am going to spend
whatever time I’ve left on earth
in quiet wonder.
That is all.
No other fool or feral spirit
now can pierce the sky I’ll make
containing not a trace
of iron or brass
or thunder.
No more to man the barricades Read the rest of this entry »
